We’re ready for your last minute deadlines…

Graphic design and copyediting sends me into some kind of summit fever, and I become quite zeroed in on the project I’m working on

Depending on the length or needs of your commission: if you notify me 36-72 hours before your deadline, I can provide the effort + energy to prepare a proofread, quality deliverable

…and we don’t use A.I.

Our editing and graphic design is completely free of A.I., which…

  • Eliminates future copyright issues/plagiarism/controversies
    • Generative A.I. derives ideas and aesthetic styles from previous online users, authors, artists, and other A.I. bots. The best way to protect you and your projects from future copyright, plagiarism, or ethical controversies is to avoid using A.I. for original content
  • Makes online and in-person communications more engaging
    • I’ve been on the Internet since the early 2000’s; running blogs and sites, posting artwork, and checking forums & group chats. I also frequent urban hikes in a major U.S. city, where I post and deliver flyers on my route

For graphics, I rely on a 2020 iPad with an Apple pencil + the Procreate app; for desktop needs (website/document editing) I have a Chromebook

I take photography with my outdated iPhone X, sometimes with my partner’s fancier camera (thank you Kobe!); either leaving the photos untouched, retouching them, and/or using them in Procreate for my own project(s) or a commission

general q&a’s

For any q&a’s I’ve left out, send it over to the contact form

“why are you freelancing?”

I am a former graduate student in the humanities, and I know how rough it can be to balance study, teach, write, read, have fun, and work throughout the quarter

Since I find graphic design and menial editorial tasks easy to clear, I want to offer my help to other working professionals or students in education/arts by…

  • Clearing away their tedious editing/formatting chores
    • ex. re-indenting paragraphs or creating a formattable .docx from a .pdf
  • Supporting their personal endeavors by designing online & printable graphics
    • ex. posters for book launches and workshops
  • (&) Providing tech help/feedback on their written work
    • ex. social media promotion, critical and creative feedback on draSupporting their personal endeavors by designing online & printable graphics

“how much do you charge?”

The final pricing depends on the project/task you give me, and the time it’d take for me to finish it

Every commission will be charged at a flat rate of

  • ~15 to ~75 for smaller commissions
    • (individual posters, one-time editing task)

or

  • ~$150 to ~$400 for larger commissions
    • (multiple posters in one order, editorial work of 50+ pages)

I accept cash or payment through Zelle or Venmo

I will generally ask for one half of payment as a deposit, and the second half when I submit/finish your deliverable

“what is last-minute to you?”

An average commission brought to me can include:

  • ~300 – 5,000 words/characters to be retyped/transcribed and formatted
  • 5-10 graphics for Instagram, FaceBook, YouTube, Patreon, etc.
  • One or two full-length scripts, essays, or communications in .pdf format to be made into a formattable .docx file

To provide an average commission in the best quality, I would need a 36-72 hour notice

If you have a last-minute commission, reach out to me as soon as you can, and I will be able to prepare as much as I can before your deadline
